Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of img2threejs. By using the converter, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not upload content or use the service.

2. The Service

img2threejs analyzes one primary reference image and up to two optional reference views through server-side and third-party AI processing. It returns a procedural Three.js model specification, a browser preview, and downloadable TypeScript or JSON.

The current public converter is an experimental, free, accountless service. It is not photogrammetry, exact CAD reconstruction, professional 3D modeling, or a guaranteed cloud-storage service. Features, supported inputs, models, providers, limits, and availability may change.

3. Eligibility and Minors

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. The service is not directed to children under 13 or under the minimum digital-consent age in their jurisdiction. If you are under the age of legal majority, you may use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

4. Your Uploaded Content

You retain any rights you have in content you upload. You grant img2threejs, its operator, and the service providers needed to fulfill your request a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, limited license to host, copy, transmit, analyze, transform, and otherwise process that content only to:

• Provide and validate the requested generation.
• Secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the service.
• Comply with law and enforce these Terms.

This license lasts only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, subject to provider retention, backups, security records, and legal obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you own the uploaded content or have all permissions required to upload and process it, and that its use will not violate privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights.

5. Generated Output

As between you and img2threejs, and subject to these Terms, you may download, use, copy, modify, and integrate the generated specification and code. This permission does not transfer rights in your input, third-party content, trademarks, patented designs, upstream software, or other protected material.

AI-generated output may be incomplete, similar to other works, legally unprotectable, or subject to third-party rights. We do not promise that output is unique, accurate, non-infringing, eligible for copyright, or cleared for commercial use. You are responsible for reviewing the output and obtaining any permissions needed for your intended use.

Generated files may include or depend on open-source software. Those components remain governed by their own licenses and notices.

6. Technical and Safety Limits

A single image cannot reveal exact scale, depth, hidden surfaces, internal structure, materials, or obscured connections. Output may be incomplete, inaccurate, visually dissimilar, insecure when modified, or incompatible with your environment.

Do not rely on the service or output for medical, safety-critical, structural, manufacturing, architectural, legal, financial, biometric-identification, or other high-risk decisions without independent review by a qualified professional. You are responsible for testing generated code before deployment.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not use the service to:

• Break the law, violate another person's rights, or breach a duty of confidentiality.
• Upload content you are not authorized to process.
• Exploit, sexualize, identify, impersonate, or endanger children or vulnerable people.
• Create malware, phishing, deceptive impersonation, unlawful surveillance, or harmful instructions.
• Attempt unauthorized access, probe credentials, bypass limits, or interfere with service operation.
• Send automated or high-volume requests that degrade the service.
• Misrepresent generated output as verified, measured, professional, or endorsed when it is not.

We may reject content, limit requests, suspend access, or preserve and disclose information where reasonably necessary for safety, security, compliance, or enforcement.

8. Third-Party Services and Open Source

Generation currently uses OpenRouter, which may route requests to downstream AI providers. Hosting, security, and other infrastructure may also be provided by third parties. Their availability, terms, data practices, and technical behavior are outside our control. Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their terms.

The upstream hoainho/img2threejs method is licensed under Apache License 2.0, and Three.js is licensed under the MIT License. See the repository's THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and included license texts. img2threejs is an independent interface and is not endorsed by the upstream project, Three.js, or their rights holders.

9. Changes, Availability, and Termination

We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including free access, at any time. We may terminate or restrict access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or created legal, safety, security, or operational risk. You may stop using the service at any time.

10. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service and output are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of accuracy, title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, and error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, img2threejs and its operator, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from the service, uploads, output, providers, or inability to use the service.

For any direct claim, total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires a greater amount. The current public converter is free. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Indemnity

Where permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the service operator and contributors from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your uploaded content, your use or distribution of output, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

13. Disputes and Applicable Law

Before filing a claim, please contact us and attempt an informal resolution. Mandatory consumer protections and laws that cannot be excluded remain applicable. The production operator's legal identity, address, and governing-law venue must be published before a commercial or paid launch; these Terms do not invent a jurisdiction that has not yet been established.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The updated date identifies the current version. Where required, material changes will be notified before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
